Natural Gas Explosion in Louisiana Heard 12 Miles Away
This
morning in southern Louisiana, a 14 inch natural gas pipeline ruptured,
causing a large explosion which could be heard up to 12 miles away.A
local paper, the Eunice News, along with local television stations
reported that the explosion occurred near to Intracoastal City. The
incident took place in a sparsely populated rural area and no injuries
have been reported.Local police have confirmed that the gas in the line
was shut off and the fire extinguished. Maintenance checks will no need
